Our meetings

From ideas to screen. Together.

Our main activity revolves around regular in-person meetings, where each member can present their film projects during dedicated pitching tables. These sessions offer a space to receive constructive feedback, exchange ideas, and work together to identify and solve narrative issues, ultimately improving both the storytelling quality and the effectiveness of each project’s written and oral presentation.

Projects can be shared at any stage of development, from an initial concept to a completed screenplay. More advanced works may also be presented at our production table, a session designed to help writers and directors move their projects toward production through peer advice, shared expertise, and practical insight.

In some cases, completed films that have not yet reached their final version can also be screened during meetings. These test previews allow filmmakers to identify and address technical or editing issues before moving on to the final cut.

Our SPECIAL EVENTs

Connecting through film, conversation, and a good drink.

Once a year, during the Berlinale, we gather for a special in-person event in a central location near the festival.
It’s a relaxed occasion to reconnect, share a drink, exchange ideas, and enjoy each other’s company. The event is open to members, friends, and film professionals, a friendly space for conversation, creative exchange, and spontaneous networking in the spirit of storytelling.

our rules

Respect, Creativity and a Bit of Common Sense.

PitchingTable
PITCHING TABLE

Each presentation is given equal time.
The total duration of the event is divided among the projects scheduled, with each slot lasting no less than 30 minutes, including discussion.
All feedback is welcome and encouraged, shared in a spirit of professional exchange and mutual respect. We value openness and constructive dialogue, keeping our tables free from harsh criticism or self-defensiveness.

Storytellers Berlin Production Table
PRODUCTION TABLE

Intended for projects that have completed the writing phase and are preparing for production.
It offers authors the chance to discuss practical aspects of realization, gather feedback, and explore possible forms of collaboration or professional support within the group.
As with all sessions, participants are expected to share their projects in a spirit of mutual respect, openness, and professionalism.

Storytellers Berlin Test Screening
PRODUCTION TABLE

Our members have the opportunity to present their films in post-production to the community during dedicated feedback sessions. These screenings allow filmmakers to share a rough cut or early version of their work and receive constructive input from fellow storytellers, helping them refine the narrative, pacing, and overall impact before final delivery.
Anyone presenting their work during a test screening must be the full and rightful owner of all associated rights.
